Course Description
Astrology makes predictions about our lives based on observations of the planets in the solar system. Today we recognize this practice as pseudo-science, but what, exactly, distinguishes it from actual science? And are we right to think that scientific conclusions are better supported by the evidence than astrological ones? These are examples of philosophical questions about the nature of science, and we’ll explore a variety of answers to them throughout the course.
