I’m a writer and philosopher based in Minneapolis, where I live with my husband and our two year old son.
My current focus is on science writing, where I aim to give people a taste of how exciting, surprising and beautiful mathematics can be. Check out my science writing page for more info.
I completed my PhD in Logic, Computation and Methodology from Carnegie Mellon University’s Philosophy Department in 2015. I specialized in the history and philosophy of mathematics and still do philosophical research. In the past I have taught undergraduate and graduate level classes with both mathematical and philosophical content. You can find more information, including copies of my published papers as well as syllabi and sample teaching materials, on my research and teaching pages.
