My academic work focuses on epistemology and philosophy of mathematical practice. I received my PhD in Logic, Computation, and Methodology from Carnegie Mellon University and was a postdoctoral scholar at the Suppes Center for History and Philosophy of Science at Stanford University.

I currently live in Minnesota with my husband, Erich Kummerfeld, and our two children.
